Whenever funding is available, the Community House offers an adult art project led by a professional artist. Adults in the community work together to create a unique artwork to be displayed permanently in the community. No experience necessary to participate. There is no cost for this program, all supplies are provided.

During the colder months, the Food Bank offers a soup lunch on Wednesdays. The soup varies every week. The soup is prepared and served by community and church volunteers.

Thanks to an ongoing partnership with a few local grocery stores and bakeries, we are able to offer donated day-old baked goods for the public to pick up. We receive two shipments a week including a variety of breads, buns, croissants, and desserts. These items can be found in a large plastic bin on the main floor of the Community House. Please bring your own bags. No cost for this program.
All Pinecrest Terrace Tenants are invited to join the Pinecrest Terrace Tenant Circle. At the meetings, tenants and Community House Staff come together to share ideas and plan together. The Tenant Circle offers a space for community members to become active in planning and carrying out community events. Participants also work together to identify and address community concerns. Tenant Circle meeting happens almost every month, please check the monthly calendar for the dates and times.

In 2018, Pinecrest Terrace began delivering welcome baskets to new tenants that move into the Pinecrest Terrace Community to make them feel welcome and to introduce them to the Community House programs and services. The basket is full of non-perishable food items and household supplies.

This program is currently aimed at children (grades 3-5). The activities offered in this program focus on fun ways of learning science and technology. Activities involve building simple robotics, coding, creating catapults, working with circuits and kitchen chemistry (to name just a few).

The Excellence in Literacy Foundation (ELF) offered for grades 1-5, provides personalized help with reading and writing on a weekly basis throughout the school year. We strive to provide specialized lessons based on individual skill levels and learning needs through a 1-to-2 ratio.
